As Italy elopement planners and photographers, this Summer we were lucky enough to follow our beautiful couples to the most stunning locations all over the country. And Sicily had been one heck of a destination, and in fact one of our favourite for an elopement in Italy.

An exchange of vows at dawn, on a desert beach, with the most beautiful golden hour, crystal clear water and an island all for ourselves. Could have we asked for more?

And now, back to our story..

Julie and Aric decided to elope in Taormina. Honestly, picking our favourite parts of Sicily is pretty much impossible as it is probably our favourite region in Italy. But I have to say that Taormina had been a special discovery and we are so glad we managed to take our couple there and adventure in such a unique setting.

For their symbolic ceremony we could have chosen between endless options, but eventually we opted for the most intimate and secluded exchange of vows on the shores just in front of Isola Bella, a natural beauty that’s been our frame throughout the whole ceremony.

After this very emotional moment, we enjoyed the calmness and intimacy of this unique place and we played with the light and the stunning landscape to create some wonderful images.

Julie and Aric then headed back to their hotel where they had a special breakfast booked for their elopement day in Sicily.

Later on in the afternoon, we met again for the second half of the day.

A first look in the garden of the Villa and the most magical walk through one of the most stunning towns in all Italy. A breathtaking view on the golfo and on Mount Etna (Sicily volcano), colourful and unique balconies, ceramics, secret corners with huge buganvillas, secret little alleys and a breathtaking golden hour (again!) just in the main square. What an experience, what a wonderful Italy elopement!
