Lauren and Mike got to know our work through our blog, as they stumbled across a few of our elopement guides that they had found online. When they got in touch they were enthusiastic about the information they could gather with our articles and they were in love with our pictures, we clicked straight away, so working with them on their Lake Como elopement came very organically and easily.

For Lauren & Mike’s day we worked alongside Veronica, who is part of our team and whose work we simply love.

This stunning Autumn elopement on Lake Como started at Villa Cipressi, where our couple booked a suite that served simply beautifully for their preparations.

After getting ready at Villa Cipressi, we went to Villa Monastero, that served simply perfectly to Lauren & Mike’s first look and symbolic ceremony.

As the setting of their symbolic ceremony on their elopement at Villa Monastero, Lauren and Mike chose “La Loggia“, a little intimate corner overlooking the lake, the perfect frame for an exchange of vows in this surreal setting.

We always suggest having a first look on your elopement day. It’s intimate and unique, it’s a moment dense of emotions and it definitely adds to the day, making it even more unique and personal.

There are not many other places as enchanting as Villa Monastero’s incredible gardens! When it comes to suggest a spot for couple pictures on Lake Como, this is always one of the first places we have on our list! Lauren & Mike’s beautiful personality turned this session into so much fun and beauty, it’s been simply a pleasure to witness and document all the love within these two wonderful humans.

For their lunch, Lauren and Mike opted to stay in Varenna, a really characteristic village right on the lake shores. We then had a gentle stroll exploring the village while in the meantime heading towards the Royal Victoria dock to start our boat ride from there.

There is truly no better way to end an elopement day on Lake Como than with a romantic boat ride, discovering the lake’s beauty from an entirely new perspective.

From Varenna, we sailed towards Bellagio, one of the most iconic gems of Lake Como. We stepped ashore for a leisurely stroll through its charming streets and, of course, a well-deserved gelato stop — one of those simple yet unforgettable pleasures that perfectly capture the Italian spirit.

As the sun began to set, we reluctantly said goodbye to our wonderful couple. It’s never easy to part ways after sharing such meaningful moments in such breathtaking surroundings, but we left them to enjoy a lovely dinner back in Varenna, hearts full and memories made.

Can we just say — what a day! Everything felt so effortless and genuine for Lauren and Mike. They embraced every moment with laughter, joy and presence. It was their day — entirely their own — a celebration created just for the two of them. And this is exactly why we love elopements so deeply.

After their beautiful Lake Como elopement, Lauren and Mike continued their journey through Italy before returning to the US, where they celebrated their one-of-a-kind union with friends and family — a perfect blend of adventure, intimacy and joy.
